The former president of scandal-tainted Internet startup Livedoor Co. left a
Tokyo detention center Thursday evening a day after a Japanese court granted
his bail request.
Takafumi Horie, 33, won his release after the Tokyo District Court rejected an
appeal filed by prosecutors against the court's decision to grant him bail,
according to Kyodo News agency and public broadcaster NHK.
